OUR MINISTRIES
Prayer
We believe that prayer is the ENGINE that keeps our ministry going. For 28 years we have gathered at FBC on every Wednesday at 7PM for a short devotional by Pastor John Abent. After taking additional prayer request we then break out for group prayer. Come and join us for prayer.
2 Chronicles 7:14-16 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. 16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
Elders / Seniors
We have in Men's and Ladies' home bible studies for all our adults to informally study the Word of God. It is also a great time of fun, food and fellowship. We also have our Bocci Ball Court and have had Senior leagues for summer time fun and fellowship.
Sunday school
We have Sunday School for all ages starting at 9:AM
Youth
Sunday School and Patch The Pirate (character) Club for children, 5-15.
Col. 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Music
Great singing has always been a distinctive highlight at Faith Baptist Church. We are very selective when it comes to contemporary Christian music, and we still use hymnals with cverhead projection. Our choir sings songs form Majesty Music, Rejoice Music, The wilds and other great Christian music producers. Music is a very important part of our worship services and is designed to first please the Lord and bless those worshipping.
Community service
Our Deacon's Fund has been used to bless many families and individuals for the past 25 years. We also have evagelistic out reach and Boardwalk minisitries.
